Question set 1: I have a question regarding running simplis on another computer; because the components I made on PC1 do not appear on PC2. Here are the steps: 1. I made components and placed on schematic 1 using Full Path, this was done on PC1. No, not really. As soon as the simulation starts to output data to the waveform viewer, the waveform viewer will grab focus.
2. I copied all files, including SIMPLIS_Data and TMP folders onto PC2. 3. When I open schematic 1 on PC2, the component do not appear (see first pic below). When I opened schematic of that component, its sub-components also do not appear (see the second pic below).
A: You are correct. This is exactly how the program will behave when you use the full path method of placing subcircuit components. The reason is that my full path will almost never be the same as your full path. So if I send you a schematic with a number of subcircuit schematics that have been placed with the full path method, they will never show up when you try to look at that schematic displayed on your machine.
This is why we always encourage user to use the relative path method of placing subcircuit components. You also should carefully organize your subcircuits so that they are in a directory that is under the directory of the top level schematic. That way they hierarchical schematic is very portable from one machine to the next.
(is there a way to run simulation in background while I can use schematic?)
補充工程師說明如下,請您參考
Some operations can be performed while a simulation is running.
For example, you can zoom in and out of graphs and many schematic editing operations can also be performed.
However, some operations are blocked and full functionality will not be available until the simulation has completed or has been paused.
工程師表示可以改元件數值位置等等,並不會影響到當下正在跑的模擬;
